My mistake.... I should have been a little more clear.... the background check that I was refering to, was the FAA certificate background check. That how I know it.... that doesn't mean its always like that. Again good luck to all that are applying......

Friend of mine in class said everyone was assigned aircraft before they even showed up. Their assignment was on the table the first day with most senior people going to FO and junior to FE.
