FreightNazi said:Just apply online. It shouldn't take that long. From my first ever initial contact with UPS to starting class was less than two months.
Meathead said:Anybody have a clue what it takes to get an interview at UPS? Myself and a couple of other acquaintances have the time, internal recs, and have been going at this a while now - our sponsors (line pilots) perceive the hiring machine as a black box - no real clue what the mechanism is for getting an interview call.
Anyone?
FreightNazi said:No great secret for me. Just applied online and they called a week or so later to schedule the interview and was given the next class date on the spot.

Also believe everything happens for a reason. Happily flying Herb's red bellied 73s and would never consider leaving for another flying job.
Please do not take this as a negative shot at UPS at all. I have maximum respect for all the UPS guys and gals (4 of them tried their best to help me out).
Still a part of me is curious why I never even had the opportunity to step up to the plate...
