Is there an airplane weight requirement on that?

Hey guys,

Just to let you know, there is no weight req. on the 1000 PIC turbine. Mine was in a good ole 1900D. Also, you really only need 1 rec. from either a pilot or a manager-type person. Unfortunately, a box thrower probably won't work.

The biggest hurdle right now is overcoming all of the apps that are in the system. And that is where the rec letter comes in play. In my case, I believe it was THE reason I got the interview. Good luck to all trying to get on.

P.S. The night sked is not bad at all, depending which a/c you get.

I'm starting a "pay for recommendation" program. $10,000 per recommendation. $20,000 to say I actually know you!

I would be curious what fleets these pilots would go to, and how they plan on hiring & training 60+ pilots in the next eight weeks over Peak.

That was hilarious........sweet post

Don't they have a few thousand resumes on their desk already? I would think it would take a few months to even get an interview lined up. Does anyone know what the call back time frame is?

Rumor was that they were going to dump the resume pile and let it start all over again! I believe they are going to be in ATL for the fair also.

Please note where it says "MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS". Best of luck with 1500/1000 in a light twin.

I threw boxes for two years in college at UPS at a sort facility. Does anyone know if previous employment benefits in getting a call?

I would be ecstatic if they hired 60 before the year end. I would probably get out of this pool (been swimming since around May). Yippie! Maybe the hiring will increase because of getting the Menlo flying inhouse.

RVR, how is UPS treating you? What is llfe like for a new hire? How does reserve work? Would reserve be commutable?

Chris

Do you get a refund if you don't get the job? :)

Guys,

You don't need a bunch of letters of rec. If I remember correctly, in my class, no one had more than two letters. Most, myself included, only had 1. If you don't apply and try, you'll never know. At this point in time, interviews are at a trickle at best (unless you want to go to the dark side). BUT, I think we will see a huge turn of events once: 1. Xmas peak is over, 2. new contract is finished. I have been wrong before, but numbers that I've heard is we are way behind the staffing curve on certain fleets (unfortunately, overstaffed on the -8 panel :( ).

not sure if previous employment with big brother brown helps in getting you an interview. some of the guys i know have said they did various jobs (ground, loading, ramp...) previously and it helped in the interview but they didn't think it put them on the fast track for an interview.
