comml dh

Tanner...

Under the current agreement for EDW flights (basically next day air domestic) you have to take the comml that gets in at least 18 hours prior to duty. If you take a different comml paid by the company, you forfeit 3 hrs pay for that pairing. If you buy your own ticket, drive there, or live there there is no penalty. Ups has this funny thing where they don't want to pay you for being at work when you're at home...it's not the most pleasant thing, but you have to work around it or just get there early and enjoy being paid for staying in the hotel. If you stay in the hotel 24 hours prior to your flight, you're racking up 6.4 credit hours...more than enough to pay the bar bill plus a steak dinner that nite while you're watching football. YMMV, but that is how I intend to approach it. It's a small price to pay for week on/week off schedules.

Well said, Aviator7576! That's how I'm looking at it, as well.

You would forfeit 3 hours just on the front end if you didn't plan your ups comml to arrive 18 hours prior to duy. If your planned flight delays or cancels and you arrive with less than 18 hours, there is no forfeiture. If you drive there or live there, there is no forfeiture. If you get there on your own (buy your own ticket) there is no forfeiture.
