Well it looks like CT has finally posted the survey. It's official hats are optional year-round in the new combined uniform program.

Why is that? Have all the airline pilots since the dawn of the airline age had "issues?"

pilot who wears an optional hat = issues

You don't like the hat....fine.. I can't stand when you take shots at guys who do like it.
I look forward to the day when the only airline uniform is Dockers, golf shirts and sneakers.

Bermuda shorts, wife-beater and flip flops!!!

Slacks and a golf shirt would be fine with me.

Of course....maybe you should have chosen another profession or a segment of aviation where you could dress casual.
Then you guys wonder why no one (including management) respects you.

You don't have to exaggerate. About the only thing that has changed in most pilot uniforms since Pan Am began flying to Havana is the hat--or more specifically, the lack of one.

If you really want to piss about the recent lack of glamor in Pilot uniforms, we can start with the leather jacket.

Dress nice. That will solve all problems with MGT and the public will love flying again.

I don't like the leather jacket either....:)

Hey, hey, HEYYY! don't you go start messin' with my leather jacket now!

Maybe you missed the point.

Negative....

YOUR post was any pilot who wears the hat when it's been made optional is a dork. Call me crazy but who looks more like a jackass? Pilot wearing that hat OR pilot sporting the spikey hair, ipod and ridiculous white sunglasses on his head?

Funny, I just had to spend some time in MSP. All the Delta mainline guys wear hats. All the commuter pilots slack around with no hats. Guess which group looks more professional?

No hats!!!! Awesome news hate those clown hats anyway!
