I got denied unemployment benefits. I've been living in Florida for 8 years. Worked for Spirit (FLL based) for 11 months and previously for American Eagle (DFW based) for 4 years. Commuted.
Now Florida doesn't want to give me benifits because I didn't work here enough. And Texas won't give me benifits because my last employer wasn't in Texas and I don't have a Texas driver's license. Appealed today online. Can't get a hold of anybody. They don't even put you on hold. Just a simple "There is no agent available, call back later". You would think these idiots would understand the airline industry. This needed to be a federal system and not state (one more thing to be included in that catagory).
Been paying taxes all my life and that's how the government treats me.

If the government were a business it would fail miserably. Oh wait..... Money trading hands... Record deficits... Suppose to provide a service.... if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... must not be a duck?
