Because all the Compass and XJ flows are over 35 yrs old and have more than 6000 hrs. If you fit this profile; you are not getting hired at Delta.

Wow. This must be a new rule, because the vast majority of newhires in my class in 2007 fit this exact profile (myself included.)

Ending the flow was about ending the flow down not ending the flow up. I think Delta wanted to furlough a few times in the past few years. However the flow down made it too expensive. In ALPA’s mind flows are never intended to help anyone flow up to a legacy carrier. Flows are all about furlough mitigation. Don’t ever confuse yourself on that subject.

The vast majority of 2009 classes were not. This is coming from flow-throughs in the last 5 classes, msp chief pilot, and delta HR. I didn't say it was a rule, it is just the profile they put into the computer. Trust me, I would love to tell you I was wrong about this one.

P.S I am not bitter/disgruntled regional guy.

Scott also said there would be an opportunity for current pilots. I asked him that question personally. They just hired 600 compass pilots with no experience anyway what is the difference?

Yes there will be an opportunity for everyone else, they will all be allowed to apply on airline apps

So they programmed their computer to discriminate based on age? Not sure about the legality of that.

spirit hired pilots from embry riddle not too long ago and from my friend that is there, they did terrible

we hired like 6, like 3 years ago, some of them sucked...one even did a bad, bad thing during the strike...i think they are all gone now, but i could be wrong.

did you guys know you can look up pilots names and addresses on this interweb thing-a-magigger

I'm 37 and like many others on here I've been around aviation all my life. This is the 3rd time (as in cycle) I've seen (or hear about) some college flight school partnering with a major airline to supply for the "hiring boom". Twice before it fizzled out and well I'm guessing the same again. Mostly just hype by the college to get mommy and daddy to open their wallet.

Chill out. There are things in the works for a program for all you wantabe DAL pilots.

Ha, Ha, I remember flying with some jack leg who told me he was the MS Simulator Landing Champ at Riddle. He is at Delta, so I guess he proved Turds float.

I want to work for Delta so that I can meet General Lee. He will be the guy with the biggest glasses, superglued to his laptop at all times, even when a hot check walks by. He probably pays for inflght wifi so he can keep up on his flightinfo BS.

People on here refer to that person as a girl.

Simple enough. When super pilot shows up, don't let them fly or talk on the radio. When all the stars align and Delta calls them up for their shot at the big league, let's see how they do then.

Going to make it a little busy for yourself, don't you think? Just curious, but what does this accomplish, exactly?
