Nothing surprises me anymore. Now that guy has a termination from an air carrier. This industry= FAIL
If, by your last sentence, you're suggesting that being terminated from "a" company is a career-ending event, I would disagree. Most responsible employers are open-minded enough to know that sometimes things don't work out between a particular employer/employee and are at least willing to listen to the circumstances attending an applicant's departure from a previous job.

Those that aren't willing, you wouldn't want to work for anyway.

I would suggest that he have his ducks in a row regarding the incident before he sends out any resumes, however. Copies of his training records and credit card statements showing travel expenses should be able to support his account of the circumstances surrounding his termination. An otherwise-stable work history doesn't hurt, either.

There are companies who actually seek pilots who bring a professional aire into the workplace, and who won't be bullied into performing unsafe or illegal acts.
