If it is your looking for the NAVY has at least one. Try the Grumman EA6; now that is ugly, but she has a great personality!

The Astra is out right fug pugly, darn thing could scare the wet outta water.

The older Hawkers look like BAE thought about the jet right up to the windscreen then just quit.

That new proposed Joint Strike Fighter, the one that looks like some mutated descendant of the A-7

what else could compare to the Lockheed Jetstar or pilatus Porter (pc6??).

WWII German Aircraft

Some of the Blohm+Voss flying boats were hideous-looking.

The BV141 observation aircraft, www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/LRG/bv141.html ,
looks like a Rube Goldberg design. All fuselage but no cockpit or cabin. The cockpit and cabin are a separate unit mounted on the wing!

The night fighter variant of the Me262, with the antennae poking out of the nose, sure corrupts an extremely beautiful airplane.

The F-117 Stealth "fighter" <snicker> is ugly. That contraption looks more like an artsy fartsy door stop than an airplane.

..all citations except for the maybe the 10 and that's only because of the big enigines. They all look cold, lifeless, and without character. Out of those, any straight wing Citation is especially ugly.

Best looking;
DC-3
DC-8-63
707
727
HU-16
L-1049
PT-17
Trinidad series
and oh, did I mention the DC-3?

yeah yeah, I know, I'm livin' in the past

I vote for the ATRs, or the stretch 727. I hate getting stuck in the back row next to the engine on one of those.

Not at all! Here's what I'd have in my imaginary hangar:
* DC-3s (at least one for every day)
* Convair CV-340 (sound soooo good)
* Piaggio P-166 (now that's funky! good funky)
* Beech twin bonanza, the old ones, stubby nose.
* UTVA-175 (i think) it looks like a Bird Dog with a HUGE engine

OK, back to ugly:
* Grumman Mohawk - bug eyes
* Grumman Greyhound - yuck
* Bronco - need say more?
* Those banner-draggin Cubs they use in south florida, loud, stubby and no cowling - i think i like em!

Actually those rag draggin cubs do have a cowling. Refered to as a bugeye. Its only on the top. Because of the high angle of attack they tow at. But you are right, I spent 2 seasons in those ugly things and liked it.

ugly: Cessna 337 (really, wtf?), Westwind, Astra, Jetstar, Super Guppy, B1900 (yikes, that's a scary one), and I'm not really fond of the IL-96, either.
