UGLIEST PLANE!!!! opinions?

How about ugliest GA plane?

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Beech Sundowner/Sierra/Duchess airframe. Something about the side windows that I don't like. Kind of goofy looking.

Of course, now somehow the Duchesses that I fly are going to know I said this, and I'll be cursed with a string of terrible landings! Women!

How about the sabreliner. Looks like that plane fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

I dont' know about ugly, but the best looking plane IMHO is the 757-300. Something about long and skinny with long legs.... Also the Fairchile Metro....

Oh, G-d, no.

That's one of my favorites, too. Rode in the back of one once. Never flew one.

Don't forget, a Cessna 310 was Sky King's second Songbird after he turned in his Bamboo Bomber.

I agree with bigD somewhat on the Beech Sundowners, Duchesses, etc., although I took my ATP in a Duchess. The one I flew was somewhat tired, but it still had that certain Beechcraft panache.

Metroliners? You mean the San Antonio Sewer Pipe? I would have liked a job flying them, although I probably wouldn't have liked their performance on a high DA day, or their single-engine performance.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Duchess. It's cheap and fun to fly, and has that 'big plane' feel that Beech equipment tends to have. It's a pretty solid plane. Lord knows I talk enough about flying the things! Just wished it looked more like a Duke!

I once saw a polished out cherokee. That was ugly

BE-99 without the belly pod, with the pod aint all that pretty either...

Twin Otter, Ugly but can hual one heck of a load into strips caravans only dream about.

looks (looked ) funky ... actually an a-36 or a-37 ( which is it??) dragonfly is pretty ugly

Emb-110...So ugly that it's cool.

Airbus A380...It wishes it was as graceful as the 747.

But, THE ugliest has to be that German Hansa jet. What were they thinking?

Maybe they were ugly but were cool-looking in their own way.

I recall either visiting a radar facility or being on a flight when ATC called out a flight of two A-37s as traffic. The controller referred to them as "Cessna Fighters."
