I almost dropped a grand on the bose yesterday. I'm glad I came here first. I also would like to know how they compare (bose and comsumer bose ear phones). I looked online awhile back for specs on the consumer headset but can't find any published info.

Auspac, How does the noise attenuation compare to Bose X?

I've only tried on Bose Xs for a few minutes and at the time I was using my DCs so anything in comparison would be good. I haven't compared the Bose X and the Quiet Comfort side by side although I read that the technology is the same. For the price difference you'd think the Xs would be better but it could just be the standard avaition rip-off mark-up.

Has anyone compared the Noise attenuation between the Bose QuietComfort 2 and the Bose Xs?

RJ Bum,

I just got off the phone with the UFlyMike guy. He says they are about 80% or so of the Bose X. I'm going to purchase a pair from brookstone (i.e. returnable) and bring them up front to see how they do.
