UAL using Wilson Polling to ask mainline pilots about 70-100 seaters

Mainline pilots will sell out when the price is right. The majority could care less about losing leverage in negotiations by having to negotiate to actually achieve small airplane rates and work rules. However, right out of the playbook, the small plane negotiations will be used to improve payrates and benefits on larger equipment. The only pilots that care about this are the minority--junior pilots.

Not true. I fly with some of the most senior guys out there on my fleet and NONE are willing to budge an inch on scope.

As is should be.

However, if, and I'm talking if there is no scope tightening on the JCBA, it's probably safe to say the senior guys that are against scope are the ones that ALSO tell everybody they voted "NO".

In fact, it's funny, EVERYBODY seems to openly say they voted "NO".
 
Did you offer a bonus with the scope relief? Everyone has his price.

Here's the thing. The greedy old ba$tards that brought us scope relief over the last ten years saw how it eroded their earnings when they thought it wouldn't touch them. The bonus means nothing when you lose your seat, your equipment, or get stuck flying the $hitty trips. Scope affects everybody. It just took some a lot longer to see that.
 
Then again, if I were GL I'd be more interested in his company's $100 million investment in GOL shares than UAL pilot surveys.

Ian't amazing what slow learners people can be? Especially when they work in a field that requires them to learn quickly.

The best part was, those senior guys that gave away scope, had earnings eroded, lost equipment/seat, stuck flying sh1tty trips, lost pensions, etc STILL got to hold on to their job. Meanwhile, the junior pilots weren't so lucky.

Let's hope it happens but history tells another story.

EXACTLY. Hoping for the best, planning for worst. And like many, it'll be believed when it's seen.
