NOT TRUE AT ALL FELLERS....
AAL DOES ALLOW JUMPSEATERS IN THE CABIN AND THE COCKPIT. I flew in the cockpit from PHL-DFW a few months ago. The problem is the pilots just don't know. So how do you solve this? Here's what I do. Get it in writing. It took me a long time 3 years ago, but much like many airlines, American has a bulletin about OAL Dispatchers regarding jumpseating. I carry a print out with anytime I think I might need to J/S on them. The next time you go to the airport (ticket counter or gate) ask an agent to print the following entry for you. And alas, here it is for American....

p.s. the little "star" after N is known as "display"... and the entry contains "zero's", not the letter O
Thank you! I didn't know this, and now will carry a copy of the star and show it to fellow crews.
