The military accidently released a heat seeking missle that hit it and ignited the fuel tank. Its reliable information... I heard it from my friend who knew somebody that talked to a guy who's boss had a cousin that swears its the truth.

Iraqi jet fighters stormed the plane through the special hatch in the bottom and kidnapped all the people then used an RPG-7 to shoot the hulk down with a buch of gassed kurds in the seats instead of the passengers.
