Based on my experience of Pratt's vs Garret's it seemed to me the Garret was much quicker in response to throttle applications that the Pratt.

Very cool, but I wonder what the actual performance increase is versus cost. The 255hp model is over $36,000! For that price, you could get a much higher output piston engine that would counter the weight savings with additional horsepower. Nothing beats that turbine sound though!

Don't forget the 5000 hr TBO and approx 1/3 cost overhaul, both figures from the manufacturer.

I guess "from the manufacturer" is the key term though.....
