Pilotbrain,

I was making almost that much as Capt on the 41. And yes that holds just 30 pax. Its up to you what you think your experience and skills are worth. If you think that 56 an hour is good, that's fine. I'm not hear to agure. Sometimes you have to put a limit on what you think you are worth. Doing it for the PIC is a cop-out. Cause let's face we all could be stuck at these garabage regionals.

Seriously though guys, this fight between TSA and Gojet is long over. I think we all need to stop dwelling on the past on move forward to do something constructive like stop management from screwing us, trying to find better employement, drinking beer; you know stuff like that. Who cares who won or lost or vote "yes" or "no." It's over with. And maybe if we put the same energy that we've done from fighting we can be a little more productive and less destructive. Its hard enough to find a job somewhere else along with preventing someone from getting a job too. Wasted effort.
56 per HR REALLY?

The black ball thing really does not work!! But, they like to think it does ( makes them sleep better).

No comments to beanie from the 5th page??? uummmhhh I didn't think so... It is so funny the irony fro TSA guys.......

They want to go to Skywest , when skywest pilots are going to fly the 90 for 50 & 70 seat rates????? And Skywest pilots are going to have to fly ASA's planes and routes...... UUMMHHH?? And Gojets pilots are union Skywest pilots are not????? want to talk about SCABS---- DON'T ever cry to us about Gojet pilots!

comments from Beanie's post anyone? page 5 ... answers I am waiting on hearing and has not happened in 2 pages??

Tell me where i can go and get first year captain pay that starts at more than 56 an hour and im there....Oh wait...I have to get hired first. Let me just continue to work at a crappy job flying freight and hold off for years for the dream regional job.....I will say again...there is no dream regional job, they all pay crap and for a lousy couple bucks an hour I am not about to put off building PIC that is absolutely necessary to get me the job that I truly want.

I am glad that your dream regional job is driving the 41.....just keep rubbing in the fact that you got your first choice and I havent. None the less, I am happy to be able to build the valuable time that I need to get a shot at an interview with a mainline carrier.

I dont consider 56 an hour a sell short.....the regionals are what they are...an opportunity to build you skill, your pic, and move on. It is nothing more than being an intern at the profession of your choice but instead of no pay...here's sixty thousand dollars a year to advance your career.

One more thing....airlinepilotcentral.com says that you have to drive a j41 for eleven years to make 56 an hour.....please dont tell me that youve been there eleven years.....but you do imply that your at your dream job.

By the way, I wish the fight was over but you took your opportunity to bash a guy that is just trying to improve his life....that make you feel Superior??

Do whatever it takes to get ahead in life. I love that mentality. So if the pay rate was the 30 an hour to sit in the left seat would you just to build your precious PIC time. Why does it always have to be an arguement. I was voicing my opinion that I have life and I'm not going to waste my time on the subject any more. And no is better that no one so don't give me that superior BS

Wow, I've been off this site for several months because of useless banter like this. I urge everyone here to take some time off from flight info and take care of what's important in life. You wouldn't believe how relaxing it is.

You guys can argue away with the likes of pilotbrain and his friends, but really, what are you going to accomplish? Do you think you're going to change their minds? They know where they stand. If they didn't, why would he (they) be on this site so vigorously defending themselves? He's an anonymous screen name. Nobody knows him yet he still feels the need to furiously defend who he is, what he does, and who he works for. Doesn't that tell you all you need to know? It speaks volumes to how he sees himself.

The people I've always considered to be the most accomplished, professional, and self-assured let their actions speak for them. He has. Let it go.

Where is your dream job? Regionals keep flying bigger aircraft for less pay.

This all sound to familiar, when I was at AMR, and my friends that where at ACA! Then one day TSA Stole our flying, i lost my upgrade and friends of mine lost there jobs!
smart a$$

it happins to the best of use, becouse it called Aviation!

love from a brother.

So, you have worked for a company that hired pilots off the street while giving other pilots a paycut and furlough some others?

I was in chicago and a g0jet guy made a comment to me like that, blah blah it reminds me when blah blah company did blah blah.

The point is MY COMPANY gave me a paycut and furloughed 60 others at the same time they are begging for loosers like you to fly for free.

I guess it doesn't matter, as long as you are getting that valuable PIC time so you will get your dream job someday.

Just wait until the company rakes you over the coals, I'll be laughing while I'm hightailing it away from this crap company.

In my opinion, TSA should have let their own employees enjoy the growth opportunities that g0jet has made. Instead, TSA played games, hid behind TSH and didn't negotiate with their own employees.

You come on here and the only defense you have is "should have voted yes".
Think of something else for a change.

Your so messed up by this situation that all you can say is "you flipped me off, you should have voted yes.

Enjoy flying the aircraft, get to know it well because it is going to be your only friend this long lonely career.

.

Well said, UEJ500. The growth of TSH came from TSA. A few rejects from the industry and some of the weakest pilots at TSA joined the alter ego.

They have no excuse for their actions and their posts prove it. "should have voted yes" "I want my PIC" (funny, what happens when they get it?) "its all the TSA pilots fault" etc etc.

No response to joining an alter ego that a union of 50,000 pilots stood against. Their actions have consequences and that is why they keep posting here. Desperation.

Change your name to pilot No brain.

You think you have it figured out? You are not moving on. Oops.

OK, did a little research on this subject. Still don't know how the blackball thing works, (see post on page 5), but this reminds me of when I was getting into the regionals and Pay For Training (PFT) was the hot button. If you replaced the word GJ's with PFT, you would have the same conversations. I know it is not the same thing, just saying that back in the day, PFT guys where defending what they did for PIC time, moving on, blah blah and non PFT guys where telling them how they where never gonna get a job anywhere else, scum, low life, daddy's boys, scab and hoped you liked flying for (insert airline here) for the rest of your life. Just my observation. This truly is a cyclical business in every sense of the word!

I remember when Eagle put pilots out on their A$$ and gave EAGLE AIRPLANES to TSA. Works both ways BRA!!!!

Ummmm....yeah. AMR owns those airplanes, so you of all people should know how it feels to be screwed by a parent company. TSA pilots had nothing to do with that transaction, but you voluntarily applied to an alter-ego airline. So, why are you working for G0Jet again?

311HK,

I am just giving facts because some people are interested in GJ.
We didnt cause layoffs....our pay is the same as skywest at the captain level and more the first year as an fo.

Most anyone that comes to work for gj will be a captain in a year because of our growth. We are not growing at the expense of any pilot group. If pilots elect they dont want to fly for gj than good on them and good luck.

What is going on at gj is trans states pilots where offered flying but they all had jobs and elected no.....I wonder if they would have offered the flying to five hundred unemployed pilots if the results would have been the same....of course not...every one likely would have taken the job.

All gj pilots that are online now where either unemployed, or at crappy jobs that were doing nothing for their career and decided to take control of their life and do something about it.

I encourage anybody that is currently unemployed or not building PIC jet time to at least interview at GJ and then consider if you want the job. Don't listen to the negative few on this website saying you will be blackballed. It is a lie.

Mainline pilots consider all of the regional to be bottom feeder airlines that are causing the retirement of 737 and DC-9's.

One final thing....everyone that slams pilots for working at another regional
airline, are the ones that started the standard of lowering the bar at the regionals. How honorable of them to now want us to take a stand when they are getting their PIC.

Another big man....Im getting my pic jet so Ill vote no...ive got nothing to lose, Im getting mine.

Longhorn or another mod CLOSE THIS THREAD. I started it to discuss TSA FURLOUGH RECALLS, not TSA, GJ, regional bashing. It has gone on 8 pages with this ******************** and there are not even 8 posts total about TSA furlough recalls. Weve had the discussion on TSA vs. GJ about eleventy billion times and its the same every time. If you want to have a TSA vs. GJ bitch fest please start a thread titled TSA vs. GJ bitch fest. I am all about bashing GJ, but its out of hand.

More than happy to close it. I agree...not a lot of productive posts here. Please though, watch the language.
