Well here's another one that leaves you scratching your head....TSA has twice visted in the past year the aero club at the AFB I fly out of. Keep in mind this is a military base so you have to have the credentials to get on/in the base. It is not open or accessible to the public. Boggles my mind.

No head scratching here...

The local TSA goons were sending a message to the military brass. As you have areo club planes (civil registry) on base, the TSA was saying "respect my authority" to enter and inspect. Too bad the base commander allowed it.

Tell your base commander that he's a no-balls p.o.s. Oh maybe I should ask if the commander is female?

This story is just too absurd to be true.

It's like a cop busting your tail light then giving you a ticket for having a busted tail light.

I'm writing my congressmen.

Then I'm organizing a mob.

Who's in?

Now there is a man with a plan.

I am in!

One could not begin to replace the hollow gov't that Bush has made since 9/11. We are more privatized than ever...

Let's make one thing clear.. privatization is NOT democracy. When your public schools are turned into 'Charter' schools (read privatized) there is no longer a public domain...

Bush has privatized the military with Blackwater a prime example....

The exclusive no bid contracts and basic handover of taxpayer funds into the coffers of corporate America is simply undemocratic and unamerican. It is elitism for the elites.... Someone like you championing the Bush Admin is like a slave adoring his master...

If Obama got elected he could not return our gov't from the current unprecedented levels of privatization to what it was during the Reagan and Bush Sr. years...

As usual... you know nothing of what you speak of...

The fact of the matter is... the corporati's do not differentiate between TSA idiots and pilots. we are simply labor and cost to be controlled.

While we get on this message board and pride ourselves for not being "Too Stupid for Arby's" Yet the people that control power and wealth think we are all too stupid for arby's. Need proof? Look at your paycheck and who you are riding with in the "employee bus" from the parking lot to the terminal...

There you are... in your shiny happy smart pilot uniform... riding the *************************ing short bus with the aircraft cleaners, toilet scrubbers and TSA....

Yup... they got us right where they want us...

So chide the TSA for being idiots.... not that its going to do you any good....

Rez,

Just FYI...the TSA is a government agency, not a private agency.

Just thought you should know.

Thanks.. but if you read my earlier post on THIS thread I indicated that the TSA was not a private company.

I am sure you recall after 9/11 while Bush was standing on the rubble with the bull horn and the firefighters, police and other unionized public servants, his pals, Rummy, Cheney, Baker, et all were sharpening their knives to gut the Federal gov't and hand over lucrative and often no bid contracts to corporations.

On Sept 10, 2001 Rumsfeld addressed the top brass at the Pentagon and simply said... Anything that can be outsourced in the US MIL will be.... The next day he was the big hero helping with rescue efforts. "Rummy" as the Bush lovers like to call him is nothing but a CEO who knows how to line his and his cronies pockets. Rumsfeld was called out numerous times to rid himself of personal financial stock and interests in defense contractors. He refused and had to recuse himself all to often from meetings due to his personal stake. I'd rather my Defense Sec be a public servant interested in the welfare of the US citizens. Not his own portfolio.

Another prime example is Cheney's beloved Haliburton. Cheney thru the Bush admin funneled MILLIONS of US tax payers dollars to his previous company which he was CEO and still ownes hundred of thousands of stock. US MIL bases around the world are called Haliburton townes. During the occupation of Iraq Haliburton and its subsidiaries receives BILLIONS of US taxpayer dollars on NO BID contracts.

The occupation of Iraq? Nothing but a failed attempt to created a radical freemarket in the middle of a generally market closed and protected region. Paul Bremer declared Iraq open for business as he rewrote Iraqi law to benefit privatization for multinational companies. Many of Iraqs state controlled companies were up for sale, laying off hundreds of thousands of Iraqi workers, as ownership of their companies went to non Iraqi multinational companies with 100% of the profits legally permitted to leave Iraq. How would you respond if your job was outsourced and all the profits generated were allowed to leave the US and not be reinvested locally.

Thus many of the businessmen in Iraq are funding the insurgency. The occupation of Iraq is an economic issue.. not a religious or political one. It all comes down to controlling the distribution of power and wealth.

And the TSA? As you know, prior to 9/11 security was the airlines responsibility.... and of course the airlines thru as much money as they had to it.... so while the Bush Admin was gutting the Fed gov't this political hot issue was going to stay private. The Bush Admin easily conceded that airline security would be part of the DHS, which of course hands our millions in privatizations contracts...

One condition of the Bush Admin with the TSA is there would be no organization... or unionization. The TSA is nothing but facade within the DHS and the Bush Admin....

The big question is how much does the Bush Admin get to rape the US Treasury and line their own pockets and privatize our public domains thus reducing democracy. Problem is the conservatives and right wingers and far too afraid of being called a liberal or socialist. This has nothing to do with socialism. The mindset of the typical right wing thinking though doesn't know how to call BS on the current POTUS for fear of being labeled a liberal. Pathetic.

Just thought you should know.

I think I know...

So because I own property I am undemocratic? What you are suggesting I believe is called communism not democracy.

I am sure that the TSA can find out who you all are and where you work.

You are right, I'm sure they can.

But I'm also sure they can't find the Bill Of Rights, nor understand the 200 plus years of case history over the limits of free speech. Sad, isn't it?

Sad we haven't heard a peep from the leading safety organizations over this. I guess safety and security are mutually exclusive concepts...
