What the heck does an ops agent really know about weight and balance anyway?

When I find myself in the left seat (again), you too are always welcome. In fact, any one anyhow I can get them will be.

You oughtta make them do W&B until their a$$es are churning buttermilk! What hand was that!?! What hand was that!?!

Our ops people in ORD were doing just that in load planning a while back, and you're right, they know nothing about w&b, which is the problem. It took the UNION(emphasised for those of you who bash the unions) to straighten out the situation and 'explain' to load planning/ops that this was not their perogative, it belongs to the captain only (with FO input of course).
