I have a bunch of friends over at Skywest,

the problem that I see with them that the company has instilled this

us(Skywest) vs. them(all others) mentality. They think by taking everybody's else

jobs, routes, ydada they can survive for a little while longer. They constantly

seem to think somebody is after them. I don't know why.....

The stock is sold to employees at a 15% discount. you can turn around and sell it the same day and take the profit. If you do that, it's pretty hard to go wrong.

It is 15% off the lowest closing price of the last six months.

No, actually it's 15% off either the starting or ending price, whichever is less. The price during the middle has no impact. If it is higher at the end of the 6 month period than it was at the beginning, you pay the original price minus 15%, if it is less at the end you pay the most recent price minus 15%.

As Bluto and Dave mentioned, the only risk involved is if you hold onto the stock after the purchase.
