"Times are changing, which direction is yet to be determined, but (for now) we are replacing each aircraft that is pushed out of the door."
How many new aircraft are on the property in the last six months? Not many and most of those that have made it on property are Beechjets. Six new Hawkers in two plus years and there are only four of the original 12 CIII's still flying. Numbers do not look good for a one for one replacement. Only seven EM-145's on property and putting 601's on the block two at a time. Hiring an aircraft disposal specialist. No, does not look to good my man.
Again, How many pilots does Flight Options need to cut to crew only 140 aircraft? Thirty percent (as mentioned by another post) or 285 to 325 pilots out the door. The primary tool to accomplish this attrition without having to pay unemployment compensation and fend off the law suits is to mess with domicile policy and force pilots to quit. Wonder if the the company will try to enforce the training contracts? You can bet the answer is YES. Money in the bank.
Crew Catering has already changed. Since I am a fat as-, it may be good for my health but, I am still PO'ed about a unilateral management decision to axe a great benny.
Training on days! Most likely without OT: yes!
Oh well, the Total Transition to 135 is tomorrow. We may not have jobs to worry about much longer anyway. The aircraft printers are bombing out. Ink exploding, can not stand the usage rate, not sufficent logistic train in place to keep the printers in operation supply wise because of the total number of charts that need printing and do not forget to show at the FBO at least two hours prior to lift off because the average print time in 30 to 45 minutes if you know how to use the printer.
What is wrong with the Jepp Q service and printed charts from the supplier? Do not forget guys (that means you in the office) that NOS charts are not approved by the company OpsSpecs. Do not even think about telling me to buy plates at the local FBO. Looks like you have painted yourself in a corner with the electronic flight bag. Ya should da had the paper backup in the aircraft via jepp Q service months ago. Would have saved ya a bunch of PAIN and MONEY. But NOOOO, that would make it look like the EFB was a bad decision seven years ago and make those persons responsible for the decision appear as dumb as a SACK OF HAMMERS.
