Great Flight Dept. !
Still amazes me that any flight departments are featured at all in magazines unless they are Charter or Fractional operators ??? Read, "free advertising". Why would anyone want to bring all of that detailed attention to their operation, especially if they are a public company ??? Oh yeah, pilot egos. Imagine the share holders cringing, the competition developing attack plans, and the flood of resumes clogging the mailbox even if not hiring ? I also read the articles and laugh to myself, "the grass always looks greener". I remember a flight department at my home field that appeared to be the dream job ( great planes, great facility, great pay) only to find that the pilots were very unhappy and on a constant search to find something better. Death, Taxes, and pilots looking over that fence !
Larry Flint ? Does he still own an all black GII with the registration something like 69LF ??? It was in for an interior a while back at a refurb center, no, did not see any porno tapestries or murals, was a little concerned about what not to touch though !
Golfers and Race Teams, I guess if you are really into the sport, then they are dream jobs, imagine flying for a NASCAR team, gone almost every weekend during the year ! Then again, you could love your job as a tire changer or a jack man too.
Anyway, discretion in this business is almost always important.
See ya !
