If you only own one suit ... consider nice casual clothes for the flight and pack your suit. This is what I did, but something I didn't think of that might just bite you in the tender parts is NOT to check anything important if you are not flying from a "Wright amendment" city to LUV. If you are flying from out side of Texas or the states boardering Texas your will be the only bag getting transfered and the odds of you bag not making it go WAY up. Definatly chat with people, but I never offered up that I was interviewing - maybe I am just shy ;)

This only applies to revenue passengers. If you are on a pass your bags can be tagged all the way to DAL.

Uh yeah, that is my point: yours will be the only bag going this way and this is not an normal event so (I think) the odds of a lost bag are much higher. BTW a bag of mine was temporarily misplaced coming from training. My advice: if you NEED it for the interview - carry it!

interview at SWA

My info is old. I did my interview in Jan 02. I have been treading water in the pool since Mar 02 but my head is above water now...

Good luck to all of you interviewing. I am sure things have changed but I am willing to bet it will be the best interview you have whether you are hired or not.

SWA interview

Yeah I guess your right. It does sound paranoid. But after sending out 10 apps. and resumes and only getting one call I guess I just wanted to make a good impression and not do anything stupid after I had just had a great interview with my # 1 choice for future employment. But have a good laugh and move on. I only posted to try and help those comming to interview in Mar.

Wisely cautious, imho. While there is nothing wrong with having a beer at dinner at the end of the day, there have been guys who've gotten in trouble by drinking when they shouldn't have on the way to/from an interview.

One thing to avoid at all costs would be drinking to excess, with the attendant risks of saying/doing something stupid, while on a flight or around company people. Nobody I can think of at SWA would object to the beer at dinner, but obnoxious behavior might get a letter in your file that could torpedo your shot at the job.

If there was ever a time to be extremely cautious about when/where/how much to drink, everything surrounding the interview would be it. It is a wise man who considers if a beer right now is okay, and a reasonable (not a paraanoid) one who concluded, at that time & place, that it was.

Good on ya.
