What happened to that thread?

Wondered that myself. It would be nice if, when a thread is removed, an explanation could be left in its place. I realize that this is a private board but I don't think that is too much to ask... it might prevent the same thing happening in the future. MHO...

Edit: Thinking about it, why not also ban the idiot who posted the flame-bait in the first place?

It is the AIN article thread with 213 replys. Still there.

No. This afternoon a NJ pilot spammed 4 different forums with the same implied threat to charter pilots: fly a NetJets trip when they strike and they'll put you on a Teamsters scab list and send it to ALPA. (Most of the charter pilots were not impressed.)

The thread was consolidated onto the frac forum and then disappeared.

Just wonderin' what happened to it.

Since the idiot that posted it didn't even understand what a real scab is, it was probably fitting that his thread was deleted. He also failed to understand that ALPA could care less about a Teamster represented fractional Part 135 scab list, or that a Teamster scab list would be pretty much useless (unless you want to work at NetJets, World Air, ATI, or one of the many low paying regional airlines represented by the Teamsters). Oh yes, or if you wanted to be a UPS packagr car driver (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Sorry, my bad, did not see that one.

Yes the ALPA scablist. Arrangements have already been made. Two former UAL MEC members (who submitted the names of the 1985 UAL scabs) now fly with us. Those that cross will make the list. We are direct communications with Judus Iscariot ... maintainer of the master scablist.

Must have been "Judas Iscariot" that removed the thread...

Let me get this straight. According to proponents of the so called scab list, people would be expected to risk losing their existing jobs ,with all that implies (putting family in a precarious position etc.), in order to improve the lot of those on strike? At what point do they return the favor? A nice note saying "thank you for enabling me to get that contract I so desperately wanted. Here's $20 to show my appreciation. Good luck in your new job at Home Depot!" It's one thing to take advantage of a strike to obtain a job; that's a scab. But to expect people to put their existing livelyhood in jeopardy as a show of solidarity is unrealistic and absurd. Looking out for each other is something we should all strive to do, but let's be realistic. Does anyone thing these guys would put their Fractional job in jeopardy for someone flying for XYZ Air Charter? I think not! I am a fractional pilot, but do not expect professional hare-kiri from my charter brethren.

Yeah, Teamsters has not been able to do that yet. ALPA is far better at putting companies out of business and people out of work. Time to get the big dogs involved. I hope the ALPA airlines promise you jobs, since you will be the SCABS in the Corporate / 135 world.

Do any charter pilots smell a class action law suit besides me?
