So, let me pool the group. Which color of suit is better for an interview: Black or Navy Blue?

As far as ties go, I would assume red or blue with a white shirt.

I am interviewing with NWA soon.

My DAL interview suit was olive green, with a striped shirt and french cuffs. The tie was multi colored and complimented the entire ensamble. I know it sounds horrible, but it was a very nice suit.

Worked for me.

The other option is to blend in with everyone else.

I was in ATL for recurrent the a few weeks back and could not help but laugh my arse off at all the clones walking around Virginia Avenue, wearing the standard blue suit, white shirt, red tie, and buzz hair cut. Enough already! Its not 1985! All they were missing was the stupid American flag lapel pin like all the clowns on Capitol Hill wear!

This Navy blue thing was hot even back in the late '80's when I was interviewing. When I interviewed at TWA in early '88 there were about 15 others; all wearing N. blue. Me? I wore a grey pinstripe. Got the job.
