...who scared the $hit out of my wife tonight (and most aboard) while they tried to land in a thunderstorm. Realy classy....

Plenty of folks screaming on the plane....

Only smart thing they did was a GA, and held for 30 mins for the TRW to pass...

Next time around, wife reports that there wasn't any lightning right out the window...

Good grief....

idots!

That was such a great story, wow i think i have had a life revalation by reading this splended post. I just can't believe what a great story and post that is, keep em coming.

I honestly think it would be best to not post such information on here, if you really have a problem, call management. For you to post that up here is something a 2 year old would do, surely not someone with 9000 hrs. I don't know anything about you, but i can guarentee you haven't always made the best decisions, and plus we all know how pax get anyways, there was most likely no harm even close to being involved. My advice, brush it off and find something else to stress out about, surely this isn't worth it.

You've got to be kidding???? A light show out of the window could have been 20+ miles away. You weren't there and have no first hand knowledge of anything.

What a putz...

"I'm not scared of those pukes."

What are you, 8?

You really think any CHQ person is gonna come and hunt you down?
Or are you afraid of the electric shocks we can send through the computer?
As a matter of fact, Ultralooser, do not touch your keyboard, use a pencil.
I'm sending a jolt ...NOW aaaaand ...NOW aaaaand ...NOW.

HAHAHAHA.YOU ARE A S-F.

I'm not scrared of those pukes.

So tell me, Ultrarunner, have you ever flown an ERJ? Do you have any idea what the weather radar is like? I've flown various corporate jets, and I can tell you that all of them had MUCH more reliable radar than we have in the WSCoD. Now take it, I don't know all of the circumstances surrounding why the crew did what they did, but then again...neither does your wife. Grow up.

I've heard that the radar in those things is not that great, in fact I think COEX as the launch customer fought with radar issues that never got fully resolved. At any rate, I highly doubt there was any mortal danger.

SkyBoy, you ain't jokin about that radar. What a heap.

[immature comment]$10 says this guy's wife is like every other asshat you get on an RJ, complains it is small and has nothing but sh!t to say about the flight. I don't come into her kitchen and complain about her cooking or the fact that her kids have a hare lip.[/immature comment]

Hey,
Sounds like my wife too! everytime I drive her some where in my car she is screaming and yelling like there is a cb right in front of us, then I get the crap scared outta me too.
PBR

"..who scared the $hit out of my wife tonight"

I thought it said "who screwed the $hit...." What a flamer. I bet the old lady is a pig.

What I find to be so amusing is that his wife, who by his description should be in a state of shock from such a horrific experience, just got home. So whats the first thing he does? Makes a mad dash to the computer and makes a flaming post on flightinfo. Classic.

Fine, I'll let it go. But when the crew comes on and makes a PA after the GA that they are going to "wait for the thunderstorm that is over the field"...and then try again...

Well...

anyway....

Geez, I'm getting crapped on and I even gave them credit for finally doing the RIGHT THING....the GA.

Better late than never...

thanks guys

Yeah, you'd think I'd made a freaking death threat with my original post. So freaking sensitive...

Someone point me to the PC Flight Info board please.

At least if you f%^k up in the airlines you could still have a job. One of our pilots was fired the other day for having a rough landing and the owner spilled his wine. Oh boo hoo. Rich pricks, makes me sick. But he must of screwed up bad even with trailing link gear.

spinplate

Nice Avitar, suprised they let you keep it. Speaking of PC, this board is a little over the top.

I highly doubt the crew would come on and say that. If they actually did, they are morons for admitting to the pax they tried landing in the middle of a TS.

Not a chance you wife was over reacting?

Yeah, you're right. This should have really been on the FRAC/Netjet board. :-)
Yeah, like the Flight Options guy that was bashing regional pilots not long ago. Obviously he rides in the back enough, so felt the need to say that RJ pilots need "lessons on making normal banked turns, climbs, descents, and how to operate the pressurization controller". Obviously this genious has only flown business jets his entire career, and has no idea how autopilots handle in RJ's. In the Embraer there is this thing we call the "honeywell shuffle"...anyone who has flown it knows what I'm talking about. When LNAV is selected it will bank back and forth repeatedly until it figures out which way it needs to go. Yes, the pressurization systems suck sometimes too...but we don't control it. Its all automatic. My point is, before someone goes off bashing pilots that fly an aircraft that they have never flown, perhaps they should consider that there may be more to the situation than they are aware of.

Then surely you shouldn't mind people being non-PC and suggesting your wife is a pig, right? Don't be so "freaking sensitive".
