I think it was funny that the flight attendant said to the author of this article that there are powers higher than you or I yadda, yadda, freaking yadda. Then the really wierd thing was, the flight attendant that said that crap, then comes back and hands this lady a crayon and a napkin and says write down everything you see, because it will be suspicious if I write it down. Now there's a laugh.

They got people on the plane that have more or most knowlege than the flight crew, but we still need you to draw a picture. Go back and read the article...to me, that's when it lost credibility.

Everyone just sat there and watched (what would have been) their impending doom. THAT is sad. I guess we haven't learned a goshdarned thing.

Actually, the writer's husband spoke to the FA and was told, quite stupidly I might add, that the perps were being watched and that FAM's were on board.

Which I guess makes the implications even worse because it means that the average American WAS willing to take action, but the system (FA's, FAM's, etc ) detered the grassroot movement.

NEXT, has anyone ever heard of "lily whites"? The OKC news reporter (a female U of Texas grad, I forget her name) who spent years tracking down John Doe #2 and #3, has written a book about terrorism. I heard her interviewed on the radio, I believe that she was on the Mike Gallagher show, and she stated that the terrorists are actively recruiting/using persons who DO fit in. They are not Arabic, and don't speak farsi. They are called "lily whites" and they are the best reason I can think of to increase screening for everyone.

BTW, until the ME muslims surrender and beat their swords into plowshears, I believe that they should get extra screening no matter what. They have already proven to be potential trouble. Letting them on without the fine tooth comb treatment is akin to allowing a rattle snake to share your seat just because he is a sidewinder instead of a diamondback.

This PC crap has got to stop. If I was on that plane I would have been suspicious regardless of who it was. Them being ME would have only hieghtened my suspicion. They have tested the system before. That is a fact!!! Profiling usually is the outcome of certain actions or thoughts of certain groups. They bring profiling on themselves. They have demonstrated terrorist acts using airplanes before. Why not profile? Why not use extra measures to prevent another 9-11? This world is so PC and sensitive. How many 9-11's do we have to experience before we really wake up? For me, just ONE. .

They are a little repetitive but well done for the most part. TSA is in need of serious overhaul, and I agree that they need to actually screen the stuff that matters, not this sham of an operation as it stands. Ditto what Ricky said. I'd love to have some independent verification of that article that started this thread--scary stuff, but i can't help but wonder how much of it actually happened.

Very emotional stuff...but you have to live there....

Look folks, this has been a very good discussion, some important ideas have been expressed and I respect them all....However unless you have "lived" with an around these people you really dont have a clue as to how they think...I did live with and around them as a teenager and then flew many many Air Force missions throughout the M.E. region to see what they are capable of... please believe me when I say that our way of life, liberty, freedom and religion is as different from the people in the middel east as it is for the Fish verses the birds...night and day....we cant afford to be single minded when they pose such a threat to us now, here right in our own towns and cities....

Unless you have lived through it, it is very hard to believe others can be so different than ourselves...These people have been bread, taught and lived for hundreds of generations that their entire existance is based on their religious beliefs..It so happens that these Ideals they have practiced for all these years goes squarely against most American beliefs...they could care less if we like it or not....Over the past 50 years or so we ( the US) have gotten envolved in M.E. affairs, helped one side or the other, etc...in any case we have placed a target on our foreheads...and they are Pi$$ at us, they dont not want us there, and now we have become their enemy, the devil as they would call it...They truly believe this....we are to be destroyed in their eyes....

They will not stop coming after us, i'm telling you they will send their Kids their wifes, anyone they can to accomplish what they see as "Gods" work.....we are not going to convince them otherwise....it just will not ever happen...Dying for there cause is the "most honorable" thing they can do to prove there faith....how can any of us defend against this emotion, this sentiment? we just cant understand that they will keep trying somewhere to prove they are superior to our little 225 year old country....they are not dumb, in fact quite intellegent in many ways..

Our constituion and Bill of rights were drawn with our way of life in mind, basic assumptions were understood to be shared and true to all here..Life Liberty the persuit of happiness.....not to kill, steal, etc....Our forefathers were smart enough however to realize that these documents would need to be revised and adapted as time went on to cover issues that they could not possibly know about at the time......it was designed and meant to be applied to American Citizens that shared common beliefs.....not the entire worlds population...

Most M.E. people share many of our beliefs in one way or another, the radicals there are the ones we are look out for...to protect our way of life HERE on our land, we must be on the look out, profile suspects that meet the criteria that those people so readily stand proud of....if not we will continue to be the Lions Pray and we will get hurt again!.... In the mean time I invite those opressed to come here, become US citizens, but please have the respect to fit into our culture, our way of life in general...what you do at your church, your home is you're business, but how you conduct yourselves in the public should conform to the good well being of all around you...otherwise please dont come here...stay and fight for what you belive is right in you're country...not the US...

She's uncovered some interesting links between Saddam, the Murrah Building bombing, and 9/11. If it's true, it's one more legitimate reason for declaring war on Saddam Hussein.

Good points! The only democratic, non-radical progressive Muslim country I can think of is Turkey. Most of the other ME countries have a long ways to go to get themselves straightened out, and I don't see them wanting to make any progress in that direction...
It's definitely a different society over there- one that breeds and nourishes fanaticisim. The people over there have plenty of work to do in order to move toward peace and prosperity, and only they are capable of making the changes.
