I am convinced that they were observers, unlikely to try anything, there weren't enough of them, but they were there to monitor cockpit access and crew coordination. No FAMS on board.

If true, it just goes to show that whoever is paying the bills are essentially sending the idiots.

Even though I now support the FFDO program, I have to say this: Having a gun in the flight deck in a mid-flight bomb detenation isn't going to help anyone one bit.

The next in-flight bombing will be from an explosive device that never comes into the cabin.

MUCH easier to get the bomb smuggled on board below.
