Don't even respond, and get your contractual raises next month!
Amen to that. I do not blame Tim for turning down Air Tran, he ACTUALLY did his job there and maximized earnings for his shareholders. Besides a lot of MEH pilots, in addition to the AAI ones, would STILL be getting furloughed soon at AAI if it did.
What Tim has failed at is his actions since the merger, where he is DIRECTLY responsible.
- he FAILED to replace the MD80's (for the last 5 years)
- he FAILED to add additional revenue to the 717, the seating certification debacle is squarely at his feet.
- he FAILED to follow the leadership of all the other idiots in this industry and dump 50 seaters, no he increased our exposure to them and then "justified" his actions by closing down skyway's flight operations. he's so insightful here that we still pay Do328 leases to this day.
- he FAILED the taxbase of SE Wisconsin by lying about increased routes and furloughing workers who do not contribute to the local economy anymore.
- he FAILED to maintain an adequate fuel hedging problem.
and on and on. the problem is not Midwest Airlines, it's Tim Hoeksema. he is the Isiah Thomas of airline CEO's.
