As a person who has been ALPA and Teamsters, I have had much better representation from Teamsters. We have a very strong local, and with all of our control and assets at the local level, it makes it easy to deal with any problem. If you are not Delta United etc at ALPA, when a problem arises, you will not get the A, B, or C lawyer. If you are a smaller carrier at ALPA you will get the D expert or lawyer, been there and have a t-shirt. If we need an expert, we go out and hire the best.

As far as political power goes, in DC we have walked past ALPA representatives in meetings and offices because of how many votes the name Teamster represents. The folks in Washington only look at money or votes, Teamsters have millions of votes and ALPA has thousands.

Leadership is very important and not having to ask ALPA for every expert and dollar you need is the most important.

If ABXpert is rhoid in another guise he has done some homework. What he mentions by way of names and facts are accurate.

There are some at ABX who are talking about CAT, Cappy, ExpressOne etal. I have heard Astar pilots mention them as well, mostly after a recent briefing given them by Dasburg.

There are basically two schools of thought. Some feel it unlikely that DHL/DPWN will risk the potential for service disruption by intergrating another carrier into the system, particularly one which they believe is likely to have a lower dispatch reliablity rate and ontime performace than the exsisting carriers. I have no knowledge/evidence that the perceived lower dispatch reliability actually exists. This school of thought believes that on-time performace is paramount if DHL/DPWN wants to compete in the NA market and "grow" the business.

The other school of thought believes that cost alone is paramount, the arrival of CAT etal is inevidable, and will signal a percipitous increase in the race to the bottom that has already begun.

It is obvious he's just a baiter.

But if he was REALLY good, would he be considered a "master........"??

Rhoid...

How do we know that you are genuine?

I know LJ is the real deal because I fly with him on a regular basis. He is a great pilot and an even better person. That is why. You have to remember; ABX does not have a large pilot group. We have grown to know each other pretty well over the past few years. If you were a pilot at ABX you already would know that.

I'm a pilot at ABX too! I know Fathead, N1, Psycho, Butgrease (Gone), JetLag, Bubba and all the rest.

YOU are most definitely Rhoid, TheGuat, RJDC, LucyFurr, TheGuppyKiller, E170GuppyKiller, GuppyKiller, TheMissingLink, OUT, 410Dude, FreightNazi and many others (ABXpert, too).

I can find posts where you claim the fact is that you are a pilot for FedEx. You are just a flamebaiter and have no credibility at all on this forum. You are currently banned under at least a dozen usernames.
