LMAO! After changing into short-sleeves, when I walked out of the bathroom in the pilot's lounge and we started talking I could see him VERY obviously staring at my arms. :D

I looked down at them and said ... "Yeah ... I was in the Army and I used to ride motorcycles with idiots. Came with the territory." And he kinda laughed and said .. "Oh, I don't mind them, I was just a little surprised." So it was no biggie.

Most people are surprised, or even shocked, because people normally only see me in the button-down, office mode. I look like the usual conservative, middle-aged office slave with 2.5 kids, a minivan, and a home in a subdivision. Then they see me in short sleeves and the questions just start ROLLING in. :D

Its funny that AMR has a no tattoo policy. I commute out of ORD and have seen the same old captain walking around with his sailor tattoo on his forearm from his war days. Not a big deal. If your that offended by a tattoo then I don't want you on my airplane. Call crew scheduling and ask to be removed from the trip or i'll do it for you. You burnt out old hags and yuppies.

I have a tattoo of a butt...on my butt.

HAHAHAHAHA I agree..........

Why.... why does this stupid thred ammuse me... ?
I have to say that when our grandfathers starting flying, tattoos were visible and accepted...military or not. I personnaly like them.
