what happened to the avatar of the two chicks "looking" at eachother? I liked that one. Did you get shunned for that one. I did notice the Avatar post was taken away.

I liked it too. Very artistic. I wound up getting very shunned for that one, all my posts(some 300+ at the time) were deleted, and my account was disabled. I begged forgiveness and changed my shameful ways, lol. Back to good old Milla.

Down with the TSA!!!

I have tried, personally, to rectify the system through "the system," repeatedly and to no avail. There is no accountability. If the FSD doesn't want to correct the problem, there is nobody above him who will, either.

I have had TWO incident reports filed on me (both "incidents" witnessed by local law enforcement officers who thanked me for *my* professionalism in the face of the TSA's abject lack thereof) and one filed against a fellow flight attendant (witnessed by another of our flight attendants). In the latter case, the Assistant FSD revealed the "details" of the report which were completely wrong based on the accounts of both F/As. The AFSD and FSD refuse to return phone calls placed on behalf of and by the F/A.

In short...we are dealing with the Gestapo. No accountability. Don't question us or we'll take your license away... WE WILL BREAK YOU.

Passive resistance is the only alternative left...

Sorry, I emphatically disagree. What needs to be done is for ALPA to make this the number one thing to take care of. Jumpseats for all is important also but this has to be the first. I have busted my butt to get my ratings, build time and experience, put in 7 years in the Air Force as a Controller, 18 as an FAA Controller, flown charter, cargo, and pax, have been background checked enough times they know the doctor who delivered me, held a concealed carry permit for over ten years, so a high school (MAYBE) graduate can demean me in front of my passengers?? Again, i disagree.
ALPA, you had better get on with it before it is so far gone, being a pilot is right up there with cabbies and bus drivers.

'Cause they probably aren't already trying to do something?
It's all ALPA's fault...as usual.

Not sure if your post about ALPA is sarcastic or not. I never ever indicated that it is their 'fault'. It is not and I hope you don't think it is. My point being that it should be on the front burner of activity. I am ALPA and support them completely.

Sorry

I guess I misinterpreted your post to be a little more negative than it actually was. I just get sick of all the ALPA bashing. They take a lot of heat, but don't see much credit when the big salaries and great work rules show up.
Sorry for the confusion.

Wanded after not tripping metal detector

Oh, you'll love this. I'm going through the metal detector, I don't beep, and I'm directed to the hand-wanding area anyway. Why? Because my STRIDE WAS TOO WIDE going through the thing. "Walk through it normally and it won't happen again." Unbelievable.

Meanwhile the waitress for the airport restaurant gets a swipecard and bypasses security entirely.

Great new one from the captain I flew with today:

TSA = "Thousands Standing Around"

That's old.

Just call them TSA-Holes.

TSA AND .......

you might have wondered what happens to the ga-zillion pairs of scissors and tweezer, knifes, vibrators, etc that they confiscate...

It has spawned an entirely new source of tax revenue.

you can buy swiss army knifes by the pound for five dollars, or scissors for three dollars a pound.

Some folks are making a tidy profit on this all this....

chalk up another brillaint idea for the Bush administration......

Oh, how I hate it when politics rears its ugly head........

I HAVE HEARD THAT NOW THE TSA WANTS ACCESS TO THE ACTUAL JUMPSEAT IN RETURN FOR ALLOWING THE JUMPSEAT TO RE-OPEN FOR OFFLINE PILOTS.

ANYONE ELSE HEAR THE SAME?

No TSA-hole will *EVER* sit in my jumpseat. *EVER.*

"I'm sorry, sir, we're weight restricted. Also, you'll need to go through screening and remove your shoes."
