If a pilot is flying a CRJ for an airline, then switches to an ERJ....the training for the different plane would take like 2 months to be ready to fly it. Plus IOE and stuff. Same for like a 757 vs an A321. Not to be a nerd or anything...but in Star Trek III and IV the enterprise crew steal that Klingon ship...fly it all around the universe, sling shot it around the sun to travel back in time to 1986...flying a "space" ship belonging to an alien race mind you, it all pretty much went perfect. Then they crash it into the water under the golden gate bridge, and everyone gets out fine, not even any scratches. No problems finding the exits at all. How does that work???

To quote Bill Shatner "get a life" :)

Klingon equipment transition

Perhaps Mr. Spock just presses his two right fingers against the Klingon ship's FMS system and performs a "mind meld." No transition training required.

I don't know about Battle Cruiser Transition Training, but Eagle Jet International is setting up a program in which you can buy time in the Science Officer's station on one of them. They will also guarantee preferential interviews with Star Fleet Academy.

Right, that's the one where "Sulu" manages to fly a helicopter without any lessons...
