SWAPA has not and is not seeking an exemption like the Cargo carriers were allowed.

We are against the Cargo exemption because the pilots of the Cargo carriers are against the exemption. We stand behind them.

thanks!!!

Agreed. Its the cargo guys who need FT/DT regs more than anyone.

I'm starting to think that pilots in america are some of the lowest paid anywhere bc we don't like to read, think independently, and are so easily manipulated through rumor and he said/she said-

Hell. That's the root cause of damn near every problem we as a profession or as a nation face.
If only Jefferson could forsee what a pipe-dream a "well informed citizenry" would turn out to be.

Your highly-placed source is yanking your chain. There is a contingent of pilots in SWAPA that is not happy with the rules change (for the reason you stated), but SWAPA's official position ) is to support the rules. The position was that the changes were coming whether we liked it or not, and by having a "seat at the table" through CAPA, we'd have a voice for input. SWAPA, due to one of its members actually being the current CAPA president, even asked for its members to write politicians to get the rules implemented (some in the federal administration were "stalling.") That also upset some members. They did lobby against the carveout for cargo carriers (for the reason mentioned above that we all share the same airspace).

Now that's some funny $hit.....Capa having a seat at the table.....

Hey, I never said that they actually had a seat at ANY table, that did anything but watch. All I said was that was their official line as to why they supported the rules change. See the difference?

So people can't pick up extra time now.....feel really sorry for you.

Maybe now there can be some hiring again and greedy folk who would work to 89 if they could might spend more time at home and learn to enjoy having hobbies.

(If the means you want to live in mean you have to pick up extra flying just to pay for it, maybee you should live within different means- a 30k car works just as good as a 50k car)
