What was said at the open house in June was basically the 1000 TPIC requirement was artificially low. The people they were hiring mainly had 1300 hours or greater. So, I wouldn't expect the requirement to go back down until demand exceeds supply. I have no idea when that would happen.

Actually you need current PIC time, the type, and a little luck. If you haven't logged PIC time in the last 3 years, you probably will not get called.

Heard through a very reliable source, who is VERY close to SWA, that it is possible to see the mins go back to 1000hrs TPIC in the future. Due to SWA's growth and demand for qualified applicants to interview - the online "pool" of interview candidates is getting low. Hang in there.....
