Any thoughts on how flying a C-90 King Air or a turbine Beech 18 (mostly VFR) would look when applying for SWA? The flights are always conducted from the same airport and rarely are you flying above 4,000. Also how much could it help being an employee for the company. This job could enbable me to do both. Thanks for any feedback.

You have to start somewhere!

Both ideas cannot hurt, not flying, not working hurts. You should consider that at some point very soon you need to step up to turbine.

Congrats on meeting the mins. Hoping to not dash you hope for getting a call from Southwest, I'll say the following,

Applying with SWA is different than being competitive for Southwest. While you may meet the minimums for applying, be aware of what you are competing against in terms of other applicants. I would continue to get the PIC hours to get the 1000 hrs but at the earliest possible time get to a more complex aircraft (jet if able) & begin logging PIC time there as quickly as possible. YOu are early in your pursuit up the ladder of competitive minimums in order to be competitive at SWA.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to do whatever I can now so SWA knows how long I have wanted to work for them.
