It is about having a little fun...You obviously don't get that. So if it was not going on when you were hired it is not a tradition....so how does a tradition start..please let me know

So if it wasn't going on when YOU were hired then it can't go on at all? GMAFB! Maybe we should roll everything back to 1994; pay, schedules, domiciles, procedures, etc. Just the way it was when YOU were hired.
 
The cane is still being used. I saw one of the old guys using it the other day in Phoenix. I guess he was to cheap to buy his own.

I was in the last 07 class, which was in October. We simply had nobody to give it to. Tradition or not, this is something passed from class to class, not from the company to the class. Nobody was offended, simple as that.

CVR104 in the June 25 Class BITCHES!!!!!

I got called late last night for the June 25 class!! I am a July 19 poolie. I was told interviews to start in July and 3 classes in July with continued classes for the rest of the year. Congrats to all and I will see you in DAL on the 25th!!!!!!

That thing was EXPENSIVE! One day I walked down without it, and downstairs was my class and two previous classes. $50 GONE! Too bad one pu$$y killed it. I hear that he got bent out of shape so we cancelled the whole tradition.
 
Are you serious? No more baby rattle? I was proud to carry that thing around for two weeks knowing I had the longest career at SWA...Sad, very sad.

Anyone heard anymore about the dates of the July classes? I know it was posted earlier about the 9th, 16th and 30th being the days but was hoping to hear a confirmation.

I spoke with the People Dept today. She said the dates are in fact 7/9, 7/16, and 7/30.

Here's some news for those who have been swimming in the DEEEEP end of the pool... I had an email exchange with MB today and she said I was 2-3 classes away AFTER the July classes have been filled. I've got a 9/30 pool date, so suspect there aren't too many below me in the pool. It seems the July interviewees might not need those heavy-duty floaties.
