Can someone please tell me what the SWA pilot domiciles are in seniority order? What domicile have most new hires been getting? Is it assigned or do new hires get to select their domiciles?

Of the last 47 new hires placed at bases here is the following breakdown:

OAK 36 new hires
BWI 12 new hires

Date of hire of junior most person at each domicile as of 18 July

Oak - 7 Jun 04
BWI - 23 May 04
HOU - 15 May 04
PHX - 26 Apr 04
MDW - 12 Apr 04
MCO - 21 Apr 03
DAL - 15 Jun 02

There are still about 40+ more pilots who are in training who haven't even been assigned a base yet. I was somewhat surprised by the above list, I wouldn't have guessed HOU had folks that junior. Hope that helps,

These are the dates for the August Vacancy bid that were awarded:

OAK 24 May 04
PHX 26 Apr 04

The September bid closes on 28 July.[font=times new roman, Times New Roman, Times]

SWA recently announced that Schedule Planning has come up with a more effecient way to flow the aircraft. Because of this it looks like there won't be a new domicle until 2006 at the earliest. The usual suspects (TPA, LAS, & MCI) are still in the running. But who knows if PHL grows as planned it could even be PHL.
