Will SWA delete your online app. and toss your paper work if you get the rejection letter? It would seem to make sense that they do this otherwise why reapply after one year if your stuff has been already sitting there on their website for the past year after the rejection. I did'nt get the call today but I also did'nt get the letter yet . . . I expect the letter tomorrow. I expect It would have only taken part of one day to make the calls they needed to make. Tuesday should probably clear things up and I will know where my future stands. Good luck to all.

Keep your App up-to-date

Your app will stay online and you can keep updating it. It will just get flagged as interviewed for the next year, then unflagged. Any paperwork will be outdated and have to be resubmitted.

Phone calls aren't all made in one day so don't assume that if you didn't get called yesterday, you aren't going to get called. Sometimes it can take several days, not unusual at all....around a 50% selection rate according to some folks...good luck to those still waiting.

In terms of database...don't know for sure. I've spoken to some folks who were turned down that they went back in after the letters & still found their files on the server....my recommendation is to walk away from the process for awhile & abide by the request to not apply until the 1 year window is complete....updating the file is a waste of time IMHO simply because at some point they will clean up the files & delete the packages...plus they have asked for you not reapply for 1 yr so why go online & begin updating the file before they have asked you too? See my point.

Don't get discouraged but use it as a time to get better & continue doing something you love, fly airplanes...it just won't be with Southwest for at least a year. Walk away slowly & deliberately knowing you'll be back to give it another shot. Looking at other hiring airlines is wise also so get focused on the next mission, finding the right spot for you that will improve your chances at Southwest the next time. Just my $.02 of rambling,
