Can a 737 land on a 3700 ft long runway?

Evidently they can........Can it take off?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..............

Man I'm glad everybody is safe and the plane seems intact. At just over 3700' hope they can take off safely in next couple of days.

I have gone in during the daytime. ILS to the west, but I just remember doing visuals to the east. There might have been a RNAV. Always dodging little airplanes from that little airport.

It still amazes me that this keeps happening in a world with GPS. They're lucky nobody was hurt.

So does the CA call the Union first, then the CP? ;)

The passengers new something was wrong when they didn't have to wait for a gate for 30 minutes

The news is reporting the flight attendants handed out peanuts to every passenger after the landing though.

Don't worry folks I was an F-16 pilot in the Air Force, your in good hands!

Well played sir! :)

Link to audio?

We heard the atlas / JBR debacle on tape. I'm guessing this one will be similar but with that Cowboy accent.

Slow it the phook down out there birdmen.

Thank GOD no one was injured.

LiveATC.net doesn't cover KBBG, which is where the pertinent audio would be. There will be tower tapes, but those don't generally become public.

Tower (& other ATC) tapes are public record, available to anyone via FOIA request (and subject to FOIA exceptions).

Federal FOIA has some flexibility in response time so it will likely be a while before these are released (if someone requests them, which I am guessing someone will given the incident).

Glad no one hurt. Can a 737 with min fuel, min crew & no pax or cargo get back in the air w/ 3700 feet of runway?

Yes easy.

Still waiting to see the CVR transcript from the LGA wheelbarrow debacle. Has that been published anywhere yet?
