Where do you get "SWA guys think they are better" from responding in the affirmative (meaning WE AGREE) to a comment YOUR side made stating "they wish this never happened"?

Dudes, all, WE didn't do this. Gary did.

I was referring to Roughneck's ******************************bag comment about affirmative action for airtran pilots. He was being a DICK.

Not to stray too far from topic, but how would you folks tackle the inevitable "why Southwest?" question?

My buddy back at Brand X a number of years back got called into the crystal palace a few years back for an interview, and it went something like this.

Q: We see you're flying heavy jets, here at SW we only fly 737's
A: I know

Q: We see you fly freight worldwide, but you realize here at SW we only fly domestically.
A: I know

Q: We see you're currently flying as a captain- You'll be a FO here at SW for a number of years, making less money.
A: I know

Q: So..tell us. Why do you want to work at SW?
A: I don't know

I think he wound up at Atlas.

anyone think showing up in bermuda shorts is a good idea to interview? or is it a already been done type of thing?

I think he ended up in Re-Hab.

I don't think he is, but I think he's making about 200$ an hour

If you really believe his interview went like that, maybe you need the Re-Hab more.

How long to hold PHX, LAS, or DAL?

LAS is fairly junior, and PHX is junior for junior FOs. Assuming you have people hired behind you, you should get one of those two in a month or two. No people behind you, and you'll stay in OAK.

DAL is senior for everyone. Pretty much the most senior across the board for all seats and seniority levels. I wouldn't count on that anytime soon.

Hope this helps.

Well, it's how the story was related, but I wasn't at the interview. To tell you the truth i don't really care. I've got my lotto ticket, N'est ce pas?

One thing to remember is that the AirTran pilots are still transitioning and they are senior to any new hire so they will get any non-OAK vacancies first. As a new hire I would not expect to be able to bid out of OAK until 2015, and then only if SWA is hiring.
