Bye Bye---General Lee

LOL!

Like your mother, very few on this board will ever consider you a winner.

He is right. Call it what you want, but you have non-union labor doing your flying hurting the entire profession and you are doing nothing about it.

Delta is doing what it does because of costs, not because Dalpa was overwhelmingly successful in changing a wrong.

One thing you are right though, GL----5 zeros. LOL!!!

5 Zeros? Really? Huh? I GUESS....you....might be able to interpolate that....maybe, if you're on DOPE....

Anyway, you have pizzed off labor doing yours, on a B-scale. CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT...... You have the same type planes with two different pay scales. That's AWESOME! Great job SWAPA!

As far as what DL is doing, there were PLENTY of things they wanted to take back, like the new tighter ratio of flying between mainline and DCI, after the fact. Tighter Percentages on the INTL joint ventures too. But, you think you know differently...

Good luck on your upcoming negotiations. We all know GK wants plenty back to get you back into the "LCC" zone. What will SWAPA give up to keep the pay? Have fun, and good luck! We know now that SWAPA can't stand up for the AT guys and the B-scale, so it will be interesting to watch...

Five zeros,

You, Delta, were the ones to let the RJ camels nose under the tent to screw it up for all of us. There is an end game with SWA and AT. There is NONE with Delta. YOU are the evil ones who screwed it up for everyone by letting non union outsource of flying into the market over 20 years ago. Then United had to follow and AMR etc etc etc.

Game, set, match. Find a new "beef" with SWA. You lost this one Five Zeros.

I know on the AirTran side there's gonna be guys fighting to be the last to hit the light switch. The longer this drags out the longer I get to keep my seniority, base, and quality of life.

When I go over I get a pay cut as well as losing all of the above. I hope they can drag it out forever.

Fletch, not trying to start a pissing contest, but will you come over as an FO or CA, how much did you make last year? I was half 5 yr half 6 yr payscale and made 180k on 754 block hours, doesn't include anything else, no perdiem, 401k match, or profit sharing. I am wondering how many captains over at airtran make that much, I have no idea.
Thanks

Lost this one? Five zeros...???? Um-Kay....(what??). So, anyways....

Well, DL was the first to exploit the use of RJs, and many did follow. Some scope was further eroded due to BKs, not necessarily the pilots' fault there. But, DL pilots are the first to recapture flying back from the regionals, with AT's 717s. That is also something you can't deny. Sorry crack smoker, but you lose too. SWAPA still treats the AT pilots poorly by allowing a B-scale on same equipment. Sorry, you're wrong!

I made about 25K more on 780 block hours @ 170 per hour. You can't depend on premium pay, I commute so I'm not able to grab premium trips. You are working the system at your pay rate. Straight pay rate to pay rate I will make less as a SWA FO if I stay.

If there is a choice, I would leave if I were you.

This will eat you alive for your entire career. Life is too short. Everyone will be hiring shortly. Comparable airlines like AT like Jetblue, Spirit, Allegent etc will be all hiring soon. Not to mention most of the Legacy carriers.

You got caught in a situation you did not ask for. That happened to me once. So I put max effort in finding another job. And extremely happy I did.

So you must have had a lot of premium at airtran since you were average 260/flight hr. I commute also, but just a 1 hour flight to a base. I am definitely not a player, but I do pick up sometimes if it is easy work. I am guessing you will be a senior FO over here and be able to drop and pick up work as you please. Hopefully it will all work out in the end for everyone. Happy Holidays!

I'm sorry, but I've got to say it's a little empty hearing the SWA folks singing kumbyya we should all be one happy family now. You wanted to staple them, SWAPA didn't exactly take the high road in this merger and your management was duplicitous to say the least. The AirTran guys had their career expectations rug pulled out from under them and now you want them to just smile and forget it all happened?

Mergers and aquisistions are all about greed. You can't just screw them over and expect everything to be fine. There is and there should be negative consequences for any organization that tries to grow at the expense of someone else.

Remember when Airtran wanted to buy ATA and take the planes/gates at MDW and ZERO pilots? And whatever came of Midwest Airlines after the Airtran offer to buy them and screw their pilots?
