General you have made reference to this several times:

I have plenty of friends and plenty of "fans." I get more PMs from pilots on here who tell me "well done" and "keep it going."

And then after an obviously sincere apology you respond:

WELL SAID DASH! DASH FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSE! What a sad attempt at trying to cover the obvious. Nice! And then he ends it with.........wait for it......Merry Christmas...... Good stuff.

Who on earth would use you as someone with any credibility at all? I certainly would not get anywhere close of your existence for fear it would create collateral damage somehow. From my seat there appears to be some obvious stability issues.

My guess is how you wish it would be, not what actually how it is.

That's kinda what I was thinking when I read the Genital's post.

The guy comes on here and says he regrets a previous post. We've all been there at times. And the Genital just comes out and throws more mud at Dash. Says alot about his character. Just more proof of his psychosis.

Dan, what part of "AirTran does not exist anymore"don't you get?

I don't get the part where I just finished a 3 day trip working for AirTran. It exists very much like it did before but with different ownership. And I don't get the part where a number of 717s will not be transferred to Delta until 2015. And back to the original post, a code share will be very beneficial bridging the revenue gap between the two airlines. I hope for everyone's sake "Gary, it's my airline and I'll do what I want" doesn't extend our transition indefinitely. I've given up trying to figure out how it's going to play out and when or if I'll transition to SWA.

Yup, three pounds of crazy stuffed into a two-pound bag. Kookoo for cocoa-puffs. Loony-tunes...

The list of monikers is unending. If everyone adds their favorite expression this thread could go crazy....

...as a sh*@house rat!

I took a look, just hit $102 an hour here as an F/O flying guarantee at 75/76 hours a month with 18 days off a month I will make $90k pre-tax here no per diem included
Now use your old contract numbers. Not that money is everything I know that. I know a guy that was an 11 yr CA, now FO in MCO. He says he makes more, better quality of life and now enjoys coming to work. He seems pretty happy about the deal.

If you volunteered to be part of the first 169 pilots to transfer in 2012, you shouldn't be bitching. He could have opted out and held Capt. in ATL. Shows how big a deal being in base is. Trumps the left seat for many.

Why?

I'm simply looking at what I make now versus what I'll make there and whether it's worth it to lose my seniority now or wait until the very end. For me, it's not all about the money; for others it is.

Different strokes and all that, and a $35-40k raise is nothing to sneeze at, especially for our F/O's who were 5-7+ years (if ever) away from upgrade here based on our delivery schedule. Most of those guys can't get there fast enough, which is where most of the angst of the out-of-seniority movement to SWA is coming from.

I'll probably end up foregoing about $60-70k by not going over until the end. But keeping my 18 days off a month, weekends off, holidays off, getting my pick of layovers (this month it was a choice between a 24 hr AUA layover every week with 18 days off or PUJ/CUN/SJU with 19 days off), and NOT being on reserve is more than worth that kind of coin.

Unless something changes with my financial needs, I'll be staying put until we turn the lights out and bring the flag. My flying goal in life was to fly heavy metal internationally for a Flag carrier about 12-14 days a month, one long leg out, sit 24-36 hours, 1 leg home, basically what my old man did back in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. This is as close as I've come so far and I'm really enjoying it, so I'll hold onto it as long as I can. :)

That sounds about right, and I think we're talking about the same guy that I know is doing some serious ELITT and POT picking. Coming from 11 yr CA and Chk Airman he was holding ALMOST top 25% of the bidding pile, but there he's probably #1 or #2 F/O in MCO.

I'm glad he's happy, and I know the vast majority of our guys will be happy as well once they adjust to their new reality.

What 8 year CA transitioned to SWA? The most junior CA I can see with an award is a October 2002 hire, with a January SWA class. That means he is leaving $162. an hour to go to your FO pay. Not a gain.

I know a tranny that was an APR or MAR 2001 hire that has crossed over to SWA already.
