What's the upgrade time gonna be after the merger for recent or soon-to-be newhires? 20 years? Any estimates?

Good question. We all know that most current SWA Capts wanted age 65 to happen, and they may ask for an eventual Age 70 increase, because retiring at age 65 is obviously discriminatory. (TIC) But, we do know the AT group is mostly a younger bunch, so that could extend some upgrade times I guess. It all depends on the arbitration probably, which will be interesting to watch, no doubt. GOOD LUCK TO ALL INVOLVED.

Over half of our pilot group retires in less than 20 years so the upgrades will not be 20 years. Future growth will be the ultimate factor in determining how long and that will likely be a function of how smooth the Airtran acquisition goes.
