Beech32, thank you my friend. Gen and Oys have a agenda. More like propaganda. But people are seeing the light.

Propaganda? An Agenda? What? How about a fair shake for the Airtran guys? Why would arbitration NOT be fair to the SWA pilots? Answer that. Each side has their own view of how things should go, and an arbitrator (or group of them) have a non-biased view. Do you NOT agree with that Tex? Wait, do you want a biased view? Waiting for crickets on this one.

That's the thing.

An agreement WILL be reached. And I may not upgrade. And you might not keep your Capt seat. And I might not get a raise. And you might get displaced...and ...and...price of gas goes to $250 and we'll all be looking for a Walmart greeter job. Life will go on.

But in the end, we, as the newer bigger Southwest, should be better off.

And in the end OY6 and Gen lee will still be a competitor. It's one thing to have AT in your playground and kicked jB out, it might be another to have AT and SWA working together in your sandbox.

No wonder they are trying to divide a group trying to merge.

Enjoy the weekend- and Lear70, I'll take you up on the beer!

Is that supposed to scare anyone? Really, if you think you can change how ATL operates, then more power to you. You won't be able to. You can try to increase turn times, and have to pay the current people twice their current rate, but that won't change the fact that you are dealing with the busiest airport in the world, and you are up against the largest tennant by far. You haven't affected DL in SLC, and infact you have retreated somewhat there. DL kicked JB out of ATL when they had 3 flights a day years ago. Whoopie. DL has lived in ATL with Airtran since their inception, and DL will handle them when they morph into you. The one important fact is that if you don't handle the Airtran guys with respect, they won't be nice to you in return, which will backfire on your ATL plans. So SWA guys, be VERY nice to your Airtran brothers and sisters, and maybe then you will be strong enough to take the rest on in earnest. Just remember, no short approaches, no side steps, and no intersection takeoffs. If you ask about intersection M landings, then I'll have to throw in getting gas at Chevron jokes. Go for it.

Thanks for your great words of wisdom OY6.

What's your hard on against SW?

Your drivel makes you sound like a major league A-hole.

In the end, I want the AT guys to be happy also. I'm gonna work with them for the next 25 YEARS! So I've got real investment in their happiness. Really.

In the end, they will be Southwest pilots.

And in the end they will also be your competitor.

Hey, I get it now. Well done OY6 and Gen Lee too. I'm sure the AT guys get it too. Good luck trying to start fighting between future brothers. No matter what happens, I truly believe that we will ALL be very happy at Southwest in a few years. It may take a while for wounds to heal.

A good job at a great company with an outstanding paycheck is a heck of a salve!

I look forward to working with them. I'll even buy Dicko a beer! And Ty too if he gets back to flying!

Happy Easter- BD32

Wounds heal even faster when you can blame an arbitrator or a group of them instead of the guy you are flying with. Why can't you figure that out? And, as I stated before, why wouldn't an arbitrator be fair to your group too? Are arbitrators just not fair to SWA pilots? If you think you have such a strong case, then present it and wait for the ruling. That is your problem, you are scared of that ruling. Outside people with no bias scare you. Am I really trying to start a fight between your groups? I have been through this already, and even though some feelings were hurt, it is pretty much over now, and we do have a strong group and are going for a better contract shortly. UAL and CAL don't seem to have that yet, and of course USAir is disfunctional to say the least. If you don't want this process to be fair, then just say it. If you do, then let someone with no stake in the matter figure it out correctly. And, Quit blaming me and OYS for your own "culture" problems. Most of us on this board have seen that "culture" of yours get thrown out of the window after your people start slamming your future brothers.

Talk about funny! Read his post above again. "Dear beech, my friend, my lover, my baby, whatever. We, together, will rule the World, gazing into your eyes, together. Those evil guys General Lee and OYS will never, ever, tear us apart......". LOL! Talk about propaganda......nothing is wrong here with SWAPA's offer, move along!

So it's wrong advocating a fair SLI? That makes me a major league A-hole? I think it shows you are one for NOT wanting one. Oh wait, you changed your attitude and now love your AT brothers! Great, keep that up after this is all over with, and even I'll be impressed. I don't think you'll be able to do it, but here's to hoping! Good luck.

OYS and GLee,

May I suggest therapy, or maybe a twelve-step program? Your obsession with all things SWA is not healthy, guys. Trying sweeping your side of the street instead of worrying so much about ours. It's getting a little creepy.

Getting creepy, or hitting very close to the truth? I think it is the latter. And this is an opinion board, get used to it. And what do you mean try to sweep your side of the street? We finished the DL/NWA SLI before I got here, and with the arbitrated result, it seems to be working great. I think you need to pay attention more, and take advice more seriously. Your constant deflection of what should really occur is really creepy. Get over yourself.

OYS

Like I said....creepy

Like I said, deflection. You will do anything to deflect what you and your union are trying to stop, a fair SLI by someone neutral. That might mean you could lose a few spots, and that frightens you. Deflection. Look it up.
