You're "Gary" the CEO.

You just a bought a company and don't want problems like USAIR.

You mean running two separate companies ? Costs a lot of money. They are either integrated or they cost us the synergies.

You see the labor negotiations going to arbitration with a labor force you just hired that voted overwelmingly to strike.

Different company and very different management. But you know that, don't you.

What does "Gary" do when the arbitration award comes out and see's a younger work force placed over his own employee's?

In any scenario, this will happen to some and not happen to others. From both groups. Everybody acts like a professional and moves on. Anything other than that causes the USAir situation that you alluded to.

It is in everyone's best interest to negotiate this deal, not arbitrate.

That's very true. However, not for the reasons you are implying.

Those of you thinking you'll be better off with arbitration need to review you're airlines history. "Winning" the arbitration could result in "Losing" the deal.

Respectfully, your post is a thinly veiled threat at the sanctity of the very process itself.

Why not be optimistic about a negotiated, fair and equitable agreement?

Stay classy folks!

The title of this thread should read....

... "short sighted views"

... "limited opinions"

... "destructive thinking"

... "manipulation of events"

... "hijacking of real events"

For the record I am hoping for an agreeable settlement sometime shortly. I'm still waiting for the "One Luv." Lanyard waiting to be worn.

I cannot understand why many of you want contentious, hate, destructive behavior. Optimism. Luv. Success. That is the name of the game.

Time to move forward. "It's a celebration bi---es!" "Welcome to the China Club"

99% of the threats, chest-pounding and posturing are coming from one side, and it ain't Dicko's.

99% is coming from from individuals who work at neither airline. I'm woefully surprised, however, someone concisely pointed out the reason as to such.

So - again - to optimism.
