Any word about the rumor of 6 months for callback instead of 1 year? Just something I heard in the grapevine. Looking forward to 2nd attemp, may it be better than the first!

Peace.

Only 39% militarty. Odd... :D TC

In a perfect World, 100% civilian :)

Good question TC...I think there were only 39% mil folks applying because they realized they'd have to listen to civilian clowns like SWA/FO talking about how challenging his cat II ILS's are or how sweet he looks in his skechers.

In a perfect world there wouldn't be tools like yourself fouling up an otherwise good, solid MILITARY FRIENDLY company like SWA. Two guys in my unit fly for SWA and are great guys - much, much better pilots than you'll ever be. Enjoy your skechers...I think the high school girls at the starbucks at gate 5 might be impressed.

Any guess as to how many of the 61% civilian that didn't have any 121 experience?

You guys really take this stuff to seriously.

Well only because we've got jerks like SWA/FO to cause issues. All in all, there are some very solid, outstanding civ guys I've trained with. But SWA/FO is "that guy" that gives civilian guys a bad name. I do take that sh*t seriously, because he is the reason why we have that rift going between the civ/mil thing.:puke:

I love serving my country and flying military aircraft (as does every other mil flyer on the planet). He's the f**king clown that will never know the pride of serving your country/wearing the uniform and probably babbles about his hatred toward our military throughout an entire 4 day. I'll throw 5 bucks down on a bet he probably got burned/turned down by the military sometime in his sorry past.

Nicely done Scrapdog

There's some military/former military guys who give the military guys a bad name too, Scrapdog. People are either good, or they are not. I don't want to fly any more with the 5% civvie guys than you want to fly with the 5% mil. guys, or vice-versa.

Cheers,
C

Just out of curiosity, how many guys are getting the interview without the type rating?

Thanks

From my interview group in Oct 06, it was about 50/50. As for SWA FO....that is not SWA spirit that we were taught now is it. Come on now, we are all on the same team.

MIL or CIV doesn't matter. Some people are just A$$holes. Every airline has them, that token 10%. Somehow they slip through the interview process.
