This isnt a question from a student but from a recently graduated flight instructor from Embry Riddle. After preflighting the aircraft with the student he returned to the office with the following squak listed . Aircraft unairworthy, Manifold pressure guage stuck at 29 inches with engine off , should be reading 0. Thought that was kinda funny. We never let him live that one down.

Heard over Houston Center freq:

to someone going to use the MOA " ... are you requesting a double penetration?"

and mixing up callsigns: "C*nt 433 ... CAT 433, climb and maintain FL230."

OK, maybe this should be in the funniest ATC thread but oh well.

I'll contribute toward that end.

Here at SPS, one of the MOAs is called "VERA" and the clearance limit for the departure to that MOA is a point called "BEAVR."

It's great when you're in a formation with the callsign "BANGER" and Ft Worth Center clears you to into VERA...my readback of the clearance is always:

"BANGER, into VERA via BEAVR." **rimshot**
