Why do you want to upgrade at all? So you can get your 1000 pic, apply to Delta and get that dream job? Lots of people in front of you with that plan.

Suppose you get an interview. What are you going to say when the Delta pilot across the table tells you that current projections are 12 years to upgrade? "No thanks, I'll go to Virgin America. That'll be sweet"
