Still waiting for The SWA call

Anyone still waiting for the call that put in a paper application back in early 2001 or earlier?

I could be wrong but didn't everyone have to reapply when the online app system came out earlier this year.

That would be correct. I got the paper app in just before they stopped accepting them last March (15 months ago). About two weeks before the electronic app came on line, I received a letter from the PD informing me that they were changing systems and that I would need to fill out the online version in order to continue to be considered.

Patience is a virtue, just one that's easier in retrospect than anticipation.

Congrats to those already there and enroute, I'm ready to help bump up your seniority number any day now!

Points to ponder

From a percentage standpoint alone the number of folks who have been called for an interview is (my own best guestimates) is less than 20% of the total number of applicants on file. There are many who have not been called.

In terms of folks with types, (according to the rumor mill only) SWA has still called less than 45% of those who have types who have applied.

The moral of the story is someone gets called first, someone gets called in the middle & EVERYONE will get called at some point....just be ready!!! & be patient!!

Hey Lear70, how have you managed 3 internal recc letters?

I thought they were only able to be put in the system upon recieving your interview date.

Can we put them online NOW?

Nope, you can't put them in yet - mine were attached to the original paper app (back when they wanted them submitted with the application) and LL told me they're still in my file - I had no idea they were still keeping paper files, thought they trashed them all.

I will, of course, bring copies to the interview, if and when the phone rings...
