Not that the business model Spirit was trying to achieve was a big secret, but I thought this press release was interesting....
Anybody know how easyJet staffs it's domiciles?

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (August 14, 2007) – Spirit Airlines® today announces the appointment of Martin Harrison as executive vice president and chief operating officer, reporting directly to Ben Baldanza, president and chief executive officer.
Harrison joins Spirit from easyJet PLC, one of Europe’s most successful Ultra Low Cost Carriers. At easyJet, Harrison served as head of crew resource planning, head of network operations, operations business manager and sat on the easyJet Operations Board. He also brings experience from British Airways, where he worked in various technical operations positions. At Spirit, Martin will be responsible for all Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Technical Operations, and the System Operation Control Center.

How does Easyjet schedule pilots? Someone told me 5 ON - 2 OFF, but I find that hard to believe. Even Ryanair has 5 ON - 4 OFF.

They will offer............and we will reject - maybe even nuke the LOA.

Shrek maybe you should read your ALPA Fastreads instead of hanging out on FI.

"
Fellow Spirit Pilots,

Your MEC met this morning via conference call and took the following action.

LOA 34 (Satellite Basing) was cancelled/revoked. According to the LOA, either party may cancel with 60 days notice. Notice was provided to Spirit in an email earlier this afternoon.

Fraternally,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
SPA MEC Chairman"

How bout them apples?

Im sure this will matter to those 6 pilots more than it matters to the company. It is only 3 lines of flying (one of which is a relief line).

Maybe you're a more important apple, but this wasn't in my email inbox...
